Do I have to register for every auction?

No, once registered and the fee and photographic ID have been confirmed by Lisburn Auto Salvage your account will be active.  This is a one off process and customers will be able to bid in all future auctions. (Please remember your username and password!) Lisburn Auto Salvage reserves the right to cancel membership at any time without notification to the user.

Can I view vehicles in person?

Yes, vehicles will be available to view onsite by appointment only.  All visitors must sign in at our office on entering our premises. Please contact our office, quoting  the reference number of the vehicle you are interested in, if you would like to view our stock.  (only vehicles in the current auction will be available for viewing)

How will I know when I have won the auction?

A list of all vehicles purchased by the user will be available in the member section.  Also an email will be sent to all successful bidders at the end of each auction detailing all vehicles purchased.

What are my payment options?

All prices are shown in sterling. All vehicles can be paid by card online, or by card or cash on collection.  Vehicles will not be permitted to leave Lisburn Auto Salvage unless payment has been received in full. No cheques or euros will be accepted. There will be no other fees added to the final price, apart from the 2.5% commission charge (plus vat), unless storage or delivery applies.

When can I collect my vehicles?

All vehicles can be collected one hour after the end of the auction (usually 2pm on the day of the auction).  Full payment must be received before vehicles can leave Lisburn Auto Salvage. All vehicles must be collected within 3 working days of the auction ending (unless prior delivery has been arranged with Lisburn Auto Salvage).  Any vehicles still on site within 3 days will be subject to a £20 per day storage charge (plus VAT).  Vehicles still onsite within 14 days of the auction ending will be put back into the auction and the customer’s account may be closed and registration fee will be lost. If vehicles are not being collected by the purchaser, Lisburn Auto Salvage must be notified of the nominated person prior to collection. Please note Lisburn Auto Salvage are closed every Saturday and Sunday, and bank holidays.

Can my vehicle be delivered?

Yes, Lisburn Auto Salvage will guarantee delivery of all auction vehicles throughout Northern Ireland.  Details of charge will be outlined in the registration.    Vehicles can also be delivered throughout the UK and Ireland. Please contact out office for details.

What is the difference between Cat C and Cat D vehicles?

All vehicles sold by Lisburn Auto Salvage are insurance write offs, which the insurer has decided not to repair themselves. Cat C vehicles no longer require a VIC (vehicle identify check). A V5 must still be applied for buy the new keeper.  For more information visit https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-identity-check/overview.  Lisburn Auto Salvage do not provide V5 documents for Cat C vehicles. Cat D vehicles may or may not be sold with V5 documentation (depending on availability).

Will my new purchase have Mot and Tax?

Some vehicle will still have current Mot, which will be outlined in the vehicle description. Though Lisburn Auto Salvage recommends that all newly repaired vehicles are put through MOT. It is up to the customer to ensure the vehicle is taxed and insured before being drove on the road.  Lisburn Auto Salvage accepts no responsibility for this.

Will there be Vat on my purchases?

No, there will be no VAT on all vehicle purchases (unless stated).  Vat will only be applied on the service charge, storage charges and delivery.

Are there any fees?

Yes, a 2.5% commission charge will apply to all vehicles purchased.  This will be subject to VAT.

Vehicle descriptions

All details displayed on our website are correct at the time of the auction. Make, and Model is described as stated  on the V5/and or HPI. Category is what Lisburn Auto Salvage have been advised of  by the insurance company/and or the  HPI check. The Speedometre miles are what is displayed on the vehicle at the time of auction. Starts and Drives describe how the vehicle is at the start of auction.  This does not mean the      vehicle is fit for any purpose. Keys may or may not be available with vehicles. This will be stated on the advert. V5’s may or not be available with vehicles, it is up to the buyer to insure they apply for the relevant documentation on completion of purchase.  Lisburn Auto Salvage will only provide documentation as stated in the advert. Year and date of first registration is as stated on the V5/HPI check. Fuel type and transmission are also as stated on the V5/HPI check. The primary damage description is a general outlook of the damage i.e. frontal.  Lisburn Auto Salvage will not elaborate any further than this.  It is up to the buyer to asses each vehicle.  We will provide as many pictures of each vehicle as possible, and buyers are welcome to view our vehicles onsite, by appointment.   **LISBURN AUTO SALVAGE ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY MISS PRINTS**
